What should a potential buyer look for when selling their home - Part 2 The Agent

50% of the agents won't even call you back, and I don't think that's the kind of agent that you want representing you.

Michael Choi, founder of Area Specialist, answers the question " What should a potential buyer look for when selling their home". Michael takes the perspective from an agent.

"I think the presentation of a house is crucial so having display furniture and really presenting it to make it stand out in the rest of the marketplace is very important.

As well and a big one I think is, before you even call the agent, some research on Google and then go to their open for inspections. Give them your phone number and see how they treat you as a buyer. If they make you feel comfortable, if they're giving you a bit of a spiel on the home and they're telling you all these great features about the house, that's the kind of person that you want representing you especially if they call you that night, or the night afterwards. They'll say, "hey how did you go you're thinking about it" or they call you on a Monday the latest if you saw it on a Saturday.

50% of the agents won't even call you back, and I don't think that's the kind of agent that you want representing you. You spend all this money on presenting the home and advertising money as well, and then
people come to your house, the agent collects the number and doesn't even call them. It's really important.

We call it secret shoping. Secret shop your agents before you choose them and go from there".
